One of the things we pride ourselves on here at Just Bespoke, is that we are continually looking to grow and develop, both as wedding planners and business owners. We want our clients to really feel that they are dealing with the very best and so we are always looking for ways in which to expand our knowledge and learn new skills.
One way in which we do so, is by attending the annual Wedding Planning Excellence event, run by the UK Alliance of Wedding Planners. The two-day seminar supports both new and experienced wedding planners and provides practical, educational sessions to support business growth and development.
This year the event is taking place at the beautiful Millbridge Court in Surrey on 27th & 28th November and we are so excited that a number of inspirational people have been brought in to deliver some fantastic talks.
Day 1 is tailored to newer wedding planners who have been in business for less than three years and they will hear from a number of speakers on various topics including branding specialist and author Fiona Humberstone on ‘Branding for brides: How to make your brand utterly irresistible to your client base’, Michelle Kelly from Pocketful of Dreams talking about ‘Killer content: How to market your business through social media & blogging’, Kelly Chandler from The Bespoke Wedding Company who will cover ‘When nuptials turn nasty, keeping your head when all about you lose theirs’, and Andri Benson from Always Andri who will be sharing her tips on ‘Shooting for glory, building a dream team to create styling magic’. At the end of day 1 a dedicated panel discussion will take place for attendees to ask senior UKAWP planners questions. The day will end with a formal, sit down dinner catered by Kalm Kitchen.
Day 2 is where our focus will be as this is dedicated towards experienced planners to help us fine-tune our skills and take our business to the next level with talks on getting the life and lifestyle you want, with life & business coach, Polly Alexandre, who will be focusing on ‘Loving what you do or why you do it, creating the life & business of your dreams’, Nicola from The Social Stylist who will cover ‘Selling through storytelling, How to write and share your business story and connect with clients’, Laura Burkitt, freelance stylist who has worked at BRIDES Magazine who will share her advice on ‘Pursuing the press, innovative ideas to showcase your expertise and get on editors’ radar’, and the day will end with James Lord from Quintessentially Weddings Atelier talking about ‘Marketing to millionaires, breaking the luxury market barrier’. The sessions will end with a formal, sit down dinner at Loseley Park and is being hosted by UKAWP supplier member Caper & Berry.
The investment is £375 per day (£325 for UKAWP members), including food and refreshments provided by Kalm Kitchen and a dinner the night of attendance. 10% discount will be applied to day 1 + day 2 bookings.
