Today on the blog, we’re talking honeymoons and who better to guide us through the top destinations of the moment than founder of boutique luxury lifestyle concierge, Patricia Concierge. Over to you Patricia…
When booking a Honeymoon most couples long for that dream holiday, one that they will remember forever. This often comes with the added pressure of deciding where to book.
I recommend writing all your pros and cons down on a sheet of paper, and then not swaying too far from what you as a couple enjoy from a holiday. Getting married is such a wonderful moment in your life that your honeymoon should compliment and end your celebrations perfectly.
As with anything, honeymoons have trends, and destinations come and go in popularity. Here are my Top 6 Honeymoon destinations in no particular order.
Singita Lebombo Lodge, South Africa
If you are looking for a Safari, then look no further than Singita resorts. They offer a unique experience in a luxury environment.
Fasano Rio, Brazil
Start your holiday in the vibrant city of Rio. I recommend staying at Hotel Fasano which is just across from Copacabana beach. A great time to visit Rio is in February when it is Carnival.
After seeing the sights of Rio, grab a flight to Bahia and stay at Txai Itacare, an Eco friendly estate on Bahia’s undeveloped Cocoa coastline.
Grace Mykonos, Greece
For those of you not wishing to travel on a long haul flight, then why not go to Greece and stay at the Grace Hotel in Mykonos. With its fabulous white cliff edge buildings and blue sea views, this is an incredibly beautiful spot. Also, if you are a couple that are looking for a bit of nightlife then this ticks that box for you.
One & Only Hayman Island, Australia
If you are getting married in Winter and searching for sun, then try the recently opened One & Only Hayman Island hotel. It has a stunning setting in the Great Barrier reef and One & Only fail to disappoint.
For something memorable and picturesque, why not hire a car and travel along the Pacific coastline of California.
The Post Ranch Inn is set on a cliff and has wonderful views.
Before or after, I recommend staying in Los Angeles and doing a bit of celeb spotting. There is so much to see and its well worth visiting some of the local areas such as Venice Beach, Malibu and Santa Monica. Stay at the legendary Beverly Hills Hotel, and make sure to buy His and Hers matching pink and white stripe Pj’s as a keepsake!
Cheval Blanc Randheli, Maldives
Finally if you wish to Blow the budget and go all out, then why not stay in the company of Royalty in the Maldives. It doesn’t get much more luxurious than this.
